Manufactured from 1939 to 1954, the Special more or less superceded the regular Baby Brownie, the main difference being the addition of a real optical viewfinder (the regular baby only having two metal loops). The Special takes 8 (6x4) shots per roll.
Made out of Bakelite, the Baby Brownie and the Special form an interesting link from the earlier true box cameras (they open by separating the front panel from the real body like a box), and later cameras such as the Brownie 127
