This is one of the nicest brownie's to use, as its lack of controls, and waist level finder make it ideal for street photography - just wander around and click away. It was infact produced in three variants. Here we have the regular UK (1940-52) version, while the US version (otherwise identical 1946-60) has different printing. Early versions lack the flash terminals underneath the lens. It's 20 year production run indicates just how well this camera works.
While image quality is obviously limited by the fixed focus and exposure (the only control other than the shutter is the bulb/instant selector), this is a really nice camera, with a big bright view finder, and produces 12 4x4's per roll. They can be picked up cheap, and give a great introduction to the 127 tlr experience before you spring big (ish) money on a Yashica or Rollei.
