Vest Pocket Kodak Series III

The Series III was one of the last of the Kodak Vest Pocket folding camera's (1926-34 USA, 1931-37 UK). Like the Model B it uses a dropdown bed to support the extended bellows rather than the original struts. However it was sold as a more upmarket camera than the B, costing more than twice as much, at $18.

The III was sold with a number of lenses and shutters. This particular camera has a kodex shutter (50,25,T & B) and a Kodar f/7.9 86mm lens. It also has a dial on the front edge of the bed, which adjusts the focus, rather than requiring the user to move the lens manually (by squeezing the two tabs under the lens).

The Series III came with an extensive intruction booklet which I hope to scan at some point in the future.
